Work Experience
2025–Present
2022–2025
- Software to help US seniors get better health care plans.
- Built several iterations of a "plan recommendation algorithm" that helped 15K+ US seniors find the best Medicare plan from year-to-year (92+ NPS and 87% retention).
- Built a HIPAA-compliant voice AI MedicareVox that spoke with 140K+ US seniors.
- Built an online auto-ordering system for Over-The-Counter (OTC) products for eligible plan members which ordered $50K of OTC products.
- Low Point: I set up a self-evaluation system for our voice agents where one agent would call another agent and test all the expected behaviors. Within the first few weeks, this system cost us more than $5k and taught us a lesson about how much it costs to actually run voice agents.
2020–2022
- Worked with Heylo on their organic growth strategy and built the first iteration of the group membership tier system.
- Led a brand redesign for National Legacy and built an automated inbound lead workflow.
- Conducted product research that informed Synmax's maritime monitoring solution.
2012–2020
- Fiddled around with rendering web content in the Apple Maps placecard, first use case was COVID-19 vaccination locations.
- Learned a ton about web frameworks and was on the team that launched MapKit JS and the Maps Web Placecard (which became Apple Maps on the web)
- Worked with the team that drives the Apple Maps vehicles around the globe to automatically announce new collection dates via the Apple Image Collection page
- Worked on ways to efficiently deliver maps assets (icons, highway shields) across all iOS / macOS platforms. Was likely responsible for many MBs of data downloaded over your network (here's a good overview of the icons we were managing).
- Worked on the map styling for many maps features in iOS (iOS 8-11) including Transit Mode, new map styles, Spotlight, Maps in China, and several iterations of the Navigation UI.
- I was the lead researcher for the Caipirinha icon which is still used today across beaches in Brazil. This research effort continues today.
